The Centre opens from 10 March – 7 November: 10.00 – 18.00
Last admission 45 minutes before closing.

Transport
Check the Local Link Kerry website for up to date travel information. There is parking available on site.
Facilities
There is a bookshop on site, as well as museum and archive facilities, workshop and language rooms. A restaurant – ‘An tIascaire’ – is available on site and provides free wifi. The Centre is also available for functions such as wedding ceremonies, conferences, and events in the local community. If you would like more information on this, please contact us.
Full wheelchair access is possible, and there is designated car parking available. Special needs toilet facilities are also present in the building.

The Centre is located on the tip of Dingle Peninsula, 16km from Dingle (via R559).

Guided Tours
Tours of the Centre are available, and take approximately one hour. There is a maximum number of forty to a group.
Visit
The average length of a visit to the Centre is an hour and a half. Guided tours of the building take approximately one hour.
Photography/ Video
Photography and video are both permitted.
Admissions
Ticket prices for the Centre are as follows:
Adult (€5), Senior/Group (€4), Child/Student (€3), Family (€13). Children under eight are free.
Holders of the Heritage Card gain free admission. School groups are also entitled to free entry.

This museum showcases the history, archaeology, and heritage of the local area of West Kerry, and includes important pieces on loan from the National Museum of Ireland. Seasonal opening hours only – consult the website for further details.
Fahan Beehive Huts
Distance: 8.7km.
This collection of ancient drystone huts are famous throughout Ireland. A famine cottage is also located nearby.
Gallarus Oratory
Distance: 12.5km.
Located close to Gallarus Castle, the oratory is made completely of stone and resembles an upturned boat. The oratory and its grounds are a highly important archaeological site.
Kilmalkedar Church
Distance: 15.5km.
At the centre of this ten-acre archaeological site is the twelfth-century Kilmalkedar Church. Thought to have been founded by St Maolcethair, the church is also historically associated with St Brendan.
Dún Chaoin Village
Dún Chaoin is a Gaeltacht village on the Dingle Peninsula in West Kerry. There are beautiful and picturesque walks, cycles, and drives around the village, and around Slea Head. The dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery draw many to the area. There is a pub and café, as well as local Bed and Breakfast options for those who would like to stay longer.
